I’m starting off with one of my all time favorite things to have during hot summer days. Here in the great state of Ohio *insert cheesy grin* we are starting to have some hot summer days and this simple chocolate shake is becoming a daily thing for me and the family!
This is so much better than driving down to the local ice cream shop and over-spending on a few scoops of ice cream! Its healthy…yes, you read it right…heaaalthy.
For those of us who are counting points, this recipe would be about 4 points (Weight Watchers), and I think about 40 calories per point. Sooo worth it!
My oldest daughter says it’s like a healthy twist to Wendy’s frosty – I’m serious! (don’t laugh.)
You can also add spinach for the picky eaters (well, it may turn green and look gross – so yeah don’t do the spinach) oh! and use powder peanut butter for less calories! Yes, I am full of brilliant ideas!
I’m telling you there are just so many ways you can make this! So get creative and enjoy! And if you are not the creative kind, just follow the recipe below and WALAAA genius!
Next weekend I will post a snack recipe that will knock your socks off – except most of us do not wear socks in the summer, so maybe it’ll knock your sandals off…or your hat off, or your swimsuit off…okay I’ll stop there!! Just know it’s going to be Ohmazing!!
I would love to hear what you guys think of this recipe and if you ventured out and decided to add different ingredients, you MUST share with me so I can try it too!
- 1 cup almond milk (or any milk you prefer)
- 1 frozen banana (or more if you prefer)
- 1 tbsp peanut butter
- 1 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder (or more to taste)
- 1 tsp honey or agave
- 1 tsp vanilla
-
